AHEAD’s program is designed to screen, evaluate, and plan therapeutic intervention programs for students suspected of having disabilities that interfere with their ability to perform activities of daily life necessary to fully participate in school. These areas include deficits in sensory-motor processing and integration, visual motor integration, fine motor skills and graphic communication, self-maintenance, academic and vocational pursuits play or leisure activities that occur in school environments. Using direct and consultation services, assistive technology, and environmental modifications, the therapist collaborates with the family and educational team in order to implement the occupational therapy program that supports the individual student’s needs.
AHEAD services include:
